Another High-Profile Client for Sal Strazzullo

Some may have seen in recent news, the Strazzullo Law & Associates, PLLC name in the headlines. Attorney Sal Strazzullo represented top Dutch model Roosmarjin de Kok who was accused of shoplifting from a Whole Foods store in Tribeca. As noted in the Daily News article published August 25, 2014, de Kok was charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth-degree for allegedly shoplifting fish oil and three chocolate bars on July 18. A Whole Foods “store detective” claims to have seen her take the items and “conceal” them in a bag.

Strazzullo argues that the charges should be dismissed because his client, de Kok, never left the store with the items. It is not clear that she did not intend to pay for the items on her way out of the store.

Prosecutors offered the 19-year old Dutch-born top model a conditional dismissal if she promised to stay out of trouble, but she rejected it. But she added that she did expect to appear at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week beginning September 4.

Her case is expected to resume September 25.

We are proud of de Kok’s representation from Manhattan criminal defense attorney Sal Strazzullo, well-known for defending high-profile clients.
